VEST CODE OF CONDUCT
The most important value at VEST is to create a safe space for women to talk about career development and the barriers precluding us from reaching positions of power, therefore, members in our network must agree and adhere to the following rules understanding that any violation may result in membership being revoked without reimbursement.
BUILDING POWER COLLECTIVELY
Members commit to attending as many sessions as possible and contributing to the conversation by sharing lived experiences, perspectives and peer-peer coaching. Learning with and from each other is a key component of building power collectively, therefore members must commit to connecting with one another and make time (as schedule allows) to meet other members when they reach out for peer-peer mentoring.
Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Members understand that everything that is said in our forums is strictly confidential and must not be shared unless they have approval from member to share anecdote. Authentic, expressive discussions is what makes VEST great, but conversations may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in VEST forums should stay in the group.
There are people of all different cultures, backgrounds, and political background affiliations. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
NO HATE SPEECH OR BULLYING
Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
Members understand that this is a space for growth and not an opportunity to sale members on their products and services, unless members request information or sales pitch.
