Dear [Insert manager’s name],

I am reaching out to discuss growing my professional skills.

I've been accepted to join VEST, a private network of professional women across industries, regions and career levels.

VEST was founded by influential women in Oklahoma like Kathy Taylor, Former Mayor of Tulsa, Sue Ann Arnall, CEO of the Arnall Foundation, Claudia San Pedro, President of Sonic Corp., Elizabeth Frame Ellison, CEO of the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation, Marie Rocha, General Partner at Realist Ventures and Erika Lucas, Founder of StitchCrew and VEST, to provide executive and professional development to women so we can expedite the pipeline of more women in leadership positions.

As a member of VEST, I will receive coaching every month from nationally recognized thought leaders, meet and develop close relationships with other influential women in the community. Previous speakers include Michelle King, former Chief Diversity Officer at Netflix and Stephanie Le-Blanc Godfrey, Global Head of Inclusion Programs for Women of Color at Google.

This opportunity will benefit me but also the organization as we expand our reach and networks.

VEST one time joining fee ranges from $5,400 for C-suite level, $4,050 for VP and $2,500 for Emerging Leaders. The vast majority of members are sponsored by their company given that a VEST Membership is far more cost effective than the traditional $25,000 for a 6-month engagement with an executive coach, or upwards of $7,000 for a three-day conference plus travel fees. After the first year, I can renew membership for a minimal fee.

I'd love to join at the (insert level) and I’m hoping the membership fee can be covered as an investment in my professional growth at [company name].

I appreciate your time in reviewing this request. Please let me know if you have any  questions. I’m looking forward to discussing it further.

Thank you,
